History of Compassionate Hands for Nepal

Compassionate Hands for Nepal (NGO) registered at Lalitpur CDO’s office in 2011 and received recognition from Ministry of Social Welfare Council as a non-profit people centered organization. Before the earthquake, CHFN worked among the needy of poorest of the poorer and assisted for health/medical relief such as providing care to heart operation, kidney operation and mental emotional sufferers.

The devastating mega earthquake of April 25, 2015, prompted  to mobilize us and our staff moved out to meet the immediate need of earthquake victims with relief and required service for the suffering people of far flung areas and urban and city, in addition of Promise Production Pvt. Ltd. Ministry to meet need of deprived and victims of earthquake.

If it could be appropriately mobilized, CHFN feels that faith base community institutions in Nepal have tremendous potential to transform Nepal into a prosperous nation as they do not have any caste creeds and untouchable taboo and discriminatory practices and people have respect for this equality culture. It is in this way that the faith base organization could play an important role in conflict transformation and peace building.
