About Compassionate Hands for Nepal
Compassionate Hands for Nepal is a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting communities through sustainable development, education, and healthcare initiatives. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee to support our Project Officer in implementing impactful projects across Nepal.
Position Overview
The Trainee will work closely with the Project Officer to assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of various community development projects. This role offers hands-on experience in project management, community engagement, and non-profit operations, providing an excellent opportunity for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating project activities, including scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.
- Support data collection, documentation, and reporting for project monitoring and evaluation.
- Engage with local communities to facilitate project outreach and stakeholder communication.
- Assist in preparing event reports, progress reports.
- Provide administrative support for project-related tasks, including organizing meetings and maintaining records.
- Contribute to the development of communication materials, such as newsletters or social media updates.
Qualifications and Skills
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a relevant degree program (e.g., Social Work, Development Studies, Public Administration, or related fields).
- Strong interest in community development and non-profit work.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Nepali.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to diverse cultural settings.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management tools.
- Prior volunteer or internship experience in community projects is a plus but not mandatory.
