Date: 13 & 14 April 2018
Venue: Shree Janodaya Basic School, Shadananda-2, Dangmaya
For CHFN (Compassionate Hands for Nepal), this is not a new practice to go and organize free Medical Camp in any places of Nepal. CHFN always tries to reach out the place and people where there is actual need. In the same way CHFN found out the place called Shadananda Municipality -2 under the district of Bhojpur, East Nepal.
Nepal is among the smaller countries in the world where there are many difficulties geographically. The reason is lack of infrastructures like road and other accesses. Geographical situation directly affect human beings, because people are not able to reach the hospital at the moment they need treatment in their lives. As a same way there are so many locations where there are no any transportation and good health access and lack of awareness on health issues.
Dangmaya is around 800 km from Kathmandu City (one way). It is located in Shadananda Municipality-2, under the district of Bhojpur, East, Nepal. Though it is Municipality but there are no any proper road access and medical access in this place. “This is the place where people need to go for emergency medical treatment for around three to five hours by walking (one way)” said by Kima Sherpa. And many people are really unaware about treatment and health awareness.
While I was talking with them, many of the people above 60 years said “This is our first time that we encountered with Doctors; we fell really excited to check-up and get treatment from them”.
