Program Manager – 1

Contract Types: Annual Contract

Reports: Executive Director

Project Location: Lalitpur, with frequent field travels

Job Summary:

Experience & Key Competencies:

  • Master’s degree from reputed university.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in senior management/ leadership in social sector.
  • Should have excellent planning, organizational, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Must be proficient in the use of English and Nepali language – both spoken and written.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Give executive leadership for the achievement of the vision, mission & strategy of the organization.
  • Develop proposals, strategies and policy documents.
  • Play a lead role in the formation, implementation and monitoring of the strategic plan.
  • Develop and maintain highly tuned relations with donors and key stakeholder groups including. local government and like-minded organizations.
  • Regular communication and coordination with the executive committee of the organization.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and project-based action plan for effective implementation of activities.
  • Ensure effective implementation of activities in working districts.
  • Develop and prepare monitoring plan, regular monitoring and review to ensure the activities are in line with expected outputs.
  • Communicate program related information to Executive Director, and management committee, program staff, field staff, and external stakeholders as and when necessary.
  • Develop Individual Performance Appraisal (IPA) system and conduct appraisal and review.
  • Develop education, awareness and training related materials, such as project briefs, case studies, lesson learning etc.

Finance & Admin Manager – 1

Contract Types: Annual Contract

Reports: Executive Director

Experience & Key Competencies:

  • MBA/MBS degree from reputed university
  • At least 5 years’ experience on the related field.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Ability to stick to time constraints.
  • Nonprofit experience, with experience with fund/grants accounting preferred.
  • Proficiency with Money works or other accounting software and excellent Excel skills.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Provide leadership to finance and accounting areas of the organization.
  • Provide useful financial insights to help make better decisions about formulating and executing strategy and provide guidance and analysis to executive and operational management to improve results.
  • Maintain system of accounts and keep books and records on all transactions and assets.
  • Prepare and analyze accurate monthly financial and management reports, including income statement, balance sheet, budget and variance, projections and forecast, and cash flow.
  • Maintain control of the following areas: general ledger, accounts payable, expense reports, billing, and payroll.
  • Assist in the management of grants reporting, compliance, and reconciliation.

MEAL Officer-1

Contract Types: Annual Contract

Reports: Program Manager

Project Location: Lalitpur

Experience & Key Competencies:

  • Masters or Bachelor’s degree in monitoring and evaluation; social sciences; systems science, and/or other relevant fields with at least two or three years of relevant professional work experience respectively.
  • Experience in use of digital data collection tools is an advantage
  • Preferred knowledge of mobile data collection tools such as Kobo Collect or other relevant tool.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, SPSS, STATA, ODK preferred
  • Presentation and communication skills both in Nepali and English languages.
  • Project planning and budgeting including basic research and analytical skills.
  • Good command in project proposal writing in varied donors’ formats and requirement.
  • Understanding about project monitoring, evaluation, and use of appropriate tools and methods.
  • Demonstrated understanding of direct monitoring and evaluation experience, specifically in the humanitarian and development context.
  • Demonstrated experience developing tools and systems for, and building capacity of others in skills related to, program tracking and documentation.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies, including logical models, conceptual frameworks, and assessment/evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience of implementing beneficiary complaint and feedback mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with information management systems and analysis software is a plus.
  • Experience in conducting data collection exercises (Qualitative and Quantitative)
  • Good interpersonal and motivational/counselling skills.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Develop and/or update M&E tools, databases and monthly reporting formats in close collaboration with the MEAL focal points/Program manager.
  • Monitor the status of Project implementation status and its effectiveness against M&E framework and reporting.
  • Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures.
  • Monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output.
  • Recommend further improvement of the logical framework
  • Conduct data audits and analysis to ensure high quality data, compile a report showing targets versus actuals and an action plan and send this to the Program Manager.
  • Provide feedback to the Project Manager on project strategies and activities;
  • Support the staff in mobile data collection using Kobo Collect and other relevant apps to collect and analyze data.
  • Advise staff on data management and storage to field staff, in collaboration with office Management.
  • Manage the development of effective and sustainable feedback mechanisms to CHFN from program beneficiaries/stakeholders.
  • Monitor overall project implementation and provide feedback for Field Office staff.
  • Ensure relevant, timely, and quality support to the Field staff on assessments and evaluations; i.e. support in developing the survey tools, data analysis and report writing.
  • Attend and participate in meetings with program Managers and Officers on project monitoring and learning updates, achievements, challenges.
  • Provide documentation and dissemination of key findings stemming from monitoring, assessment, and other learning activities.
  • Track and ensure organized, comprehensive electronic filing of documented findings/analyses.
  • When appropriate/applicable, facilitate and participate in information sharing opportunities among CHFN/partners/donors.
  • Co-chair project opening/implementation and closing meetings; take these minutes and file accordingly.
  • Collect and file success stories, pictures, legal documents etc. and file.
  • Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to the National Project Director/Project Manager

Project Officer-2

Contract Types: Annual Contract

Project Location: Lalitpur, with frequent field Travels

Experience & Key Competencies:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in development studies or social sciences.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with vulnerable children preferably on NGO.
  • Have adequate knowledge on child protection, child rights, assessment and care plan, risk assessment, safeguarding children and child development.
  • A very good communication skill with excellent written and spoken Nepali and English.
  • Ability to plan and organise work effectively and deal with multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven ability in coordination, facilitation and leadership of program.
  • Composure, flexible and having proven problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Familiar with village set up in remote areas and spending time with rural people.
  • Should have excellent working knowledge on Microsoft Office Programmes with Nepali typing skills.
  • Having valid Motorbike’s driving license.
  • Passionate at helping risked, victimised, poor, disadvantaged and displaced children.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Play a key role in planning, designing, budgeting, formulating and implementing the Project.
  • Conduct extensive filed visits such as visiting families, relatives and village of the children, assess the socio-economic and family status of the children and link them with each other.
  • Maintain link between the children and their families/relatives/communities and facilitate them to be in touched to each other.
  • Establish teamwork among all team members and ensure that all activities within the programme will be carried out in line with the organisation’s core objectives.
  • Ensure that all the legal formalities, compliances, documentation part, approvals, MoUs of every work have fulfilled and complied properly.
  • Build network and work with the local schools and community to monitor the reunified children’s developments thereafter.
  • Prepare field visits to supervise the project activities and monitor progress and prepare reports.
  • Prepare and update the information of all the direct beneficiaries, stakeholders, working partners, concern departments, officials and other correlated organisations in the area.
  • Prepare assessment report, monthly and quarterly progress reports and submit them on time.

Community Mobilizer-2

Contract Types: Annual Contract

Reports: MEAL Officer

Project Location: Helambu Rural Municipality

Experience & Key Competencies:

  • Should have completed Intermediate in social science.
  • Should have at least 1 years’ experience.
  • Good Community Mobilization skills.
  • Good interpersonal and coordination skills.
  • Committed to travel and work on remote areas.
  • Good facilitation and Communication Skills.
  • Knowledge and skill in survey, design, estimation, and construction as per supervision.
  • Have knowledge and skills on using PRA & RRA tools. 
  • General knowledge on Internet, Email and Computer.
  • Good knowledge and skill on door to door social mobilization mechanism.
  • Willingness and enthusiastic to work with vulnerable and marginal community at Helambu Rural Municipality.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Keep close contact with community people and monitoring activities and build confidence and win community support and respect while implementing the project activities.
  • Work closely and with mutual respect with other staff; senior and junior promoting team spirit.
  • Keep track of every household, with the assistance of other staff; on their participation and progress related with project activities.
  • Develop periodic plan of the project assigned to him/her and implement that plan.
  • Keep in close cooperation with the finance during field activities, make necessary expenses if needed and make the receipts available to the finance officer in a timely manner.
  • Keep report of the field activities in given format and time.
  • Keep daily diary of the activities done in the project and produce written progress report of field activities on monthly basis and as require.
  • Planning and organizing meetings.
  • Creating and updating records ensuring accuracy and validity of information.
  • Support to office team when his/her support is inevitable to them.
  • Handle official work requested by the Project Manager as requirement.
  • Support community while mobilizing and organizing groups. At the same time, inform roles and responsibilities of groups.
  • CM shall facilitate to the groups formed under the project for their income generation and livelihood activities.
  • The CM shall facilitate the monitoring visit to be carried out by the CHFN- staff and other persons in the project and scheme sites by communicating, organizing and mobilizing the community.
  • CM shall always counsel the community to comply with all requirements as mentioned in the contract management.
